It is always the right time to visit with my favorite master, Michelangelo. The secret here in Florence is that you can have him all to yourself in the Cappelle Medici where the sacristy, no larger than your master bedroom, houses a total of 4 Michelangelo marble sculptures, gracing the tombs of Lorenzo and Giuliani de Medici. There is beauty all around you my friends … if you stop, breathe, bring yourself back from your usual worrisome thoughts (no guilt or shame in this – we all have these) and look around at what’s in your present moment rather than in your mind. Here in Florence it might be easier to access miracles and masterpieces… but you are your own masterpiece as you sculpt the story of your life,moment by moment of deliberate, delicious awareness.
